Since mid-2016, most BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz factory head units already include CarPlay hardware. You only need activation, no additional aftermarket module required: more affordable, more stable, and it perfectly preserves the original factory experience.
Japan - Japanese Imported Cars (Toyota / Honda / Mazda, etc.)
Most factory head units in Japanese domestic-brand cars do not support CarPlay. The solution is to replace the head unit with an aftermarket CarPlay system.
(Japanese cars adopted factory CarPlay later than European cars, with most models only starting to feature it from 2020 onward.)
